20 Minutes a Day for Obama

I have committed to devoting 20 minutes per day to doing something for Obama. So, today I sent out something about a PBS poll. I gave money last week and wrote personal emails to a bunch of clients and former colleagues. The results were inspiring. I felt like I was taking a risk, but realize it is a greater risk not to do it. My consulting business went down the toilet during Republican administrations.

I love my life, don't get me wrong. I love teaching Tantra and the reason I teach Tantra full time is because I had to. When Bush got elected and I watched my government contracts evaporate, I said to myself, "Well I'll just have to build up my seminar business." Luckily I am good at it.

Not sure what I am going to do tomorrow in favor of Obama for President, but I'm sure I'll think of something creative.

I am inspired because so many of my friends have written back saying they put signs up on their lawns (a first) and they gave money (a first) and they put stickers on their cars. Some of my friends are going to Ohio until the election is over. Others have already volunteered to make campaign calls. And when I started writing, I had no idea which side of the fence they were on. So when the news came back that they were in favor of a major change, I got happy.

I hope you will be inspired to take 20 minutes a day for Obama too. Imagine if everyone you knew did this! How about taking it on?
