Back to Whirling

Yesterday I received an email from Elvira, a woman I met in the Osho Ashram in Pune in January. We shared the commoon love for whirling the moment we tried it. And so we met every morning at the pyramid auditorium to whirl and spin for 45 minutes and then lie flat down on the marble floor afterwards to let ourselves melt with the divine, the lover, the everything.
Anyway, she sent me a photo of herself after whirling for two hours. It is so amazing that I began to cry as I did while spinning sometimes at the ashram. She looks so clear, so clean of societal crap and everything else, just the sparking eyes of a mystic.
Needless to say, that motivated me to begin my whirling practice anew. So, today I began. Of course last weekend at the Ecstasy course, I whirled some and taught everybody else how to whirl as well. But today I got serious about it. I put on the music I obtained while in India and began to whirl in the living room. What a perfect place to do it. Our living room on Fire Island is an octagon so when I was whirling here, it reminded me of being a kid on a carosel the way the walls and windows are laid out. I whirled for about 15 minutes and then stopped to lay down.
Talk about waving! Oh my god! My body just went directly into a wave and kept going for another 15 minutes! At the end, I did a brief Latihan and felt just about as good as I could given I am not now in India. Amazing practice - whirling!
Another cool thing happened worth mentioning. I had one other whirling friend in the ashram named Yong Moh Kee from Malaysia. He sent me an email recently to give me the names of some whirling music CD's. His English is a little challenging so he wrote "some whirling musics" to me. Anyway, I went onto the website he sent and there I found the music of Sirus and his photo. Small world.
For those of you who followed my blog while I was in India, Sirus ran the guest house that I stayed at in Goa. And we found it so amazing that I had found my way to his place since he was the musician for fifteen years at the Osho Ashram who made whirling music! But my friend from Malaysia did not know this. I went to Goa after Pune. He had no idea that I ever met Sirus. And here he sent me a website that advertised this great dear friend of mine and his music which he gifted me while there.
So, that took my breath away as well.
Here is the Rumi poem on the back of Sirus' CD Fire & Light:
People in love,
free yourselves from your past,
Get crazy!
Become butterflies, in your burning hearts!
Leave your home and disitance yourselves from what you were.
Then seek the presence of those who are like-minded.
Cleanse your inner self and become clear.
Then drink the wine of love,
coming from "HIS" hands.
Become elated and melt with the "LOVER".
Become one with yourself.
This is what it is for me to whirl, practice Tantra, become the love, the lover, the beloved.
I am truly blessed.
